The 5th European Policy Dialogue Forum (EPDF) took place on 13–15 November 2023 in Rotterdam, organised by the International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) in partnership with the European Council of Religious Leaders / Religions for Peace Europe (ECRL/RfP), the KAICIID-supported Network for Dialogue, and the local partner Multicoloured Religions Rotterdam. The event also received the valued support of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the Netherlands.

Under the theme “Inspire, Connect, Engage”, the Forum brought together participants from seven religious traditions — with one third of attendees being young people aged 18 to 30 — alongside policymakers and civil society representatives from across Europe, making it one of the most significant interreligious platforms for social inclusion on the continent.

EULEMA Chairman Imam Yahya Pallavicini participated as a keynote speaker, addressing the critical journey of transformation that European Muslim communities are undertaking in building bridges across religious and cultural lines. His contribution reflected EULEMA’s ongoing commitment to interreligious dialogue, youth engagement, and the development of a European Muslim identity rooted in shared civic values.

The three-day programme combined plenary sessions, thematic in-depth workshops, and the presentation of three dedicated input papers at the heart of the policy conversations.
