EULEMA attends to Pope Leo celebration of Nostra Aetate

A EULEMA delegation participated in the Vatican to the ceremony celebrating the 60 th anniversary of the Nostra Aetate document that started a new season in the relations between the Christian Catholic Church and the other religious communities. EULEMA chairman imam Yahya Pallavicini guided a delegation with mufti Poric from Slovenia, sister Suaad Onniselka from Finland, imam Said Faid from the Central Mosque of London, president Said Aalla of the Grand Mosque of Strasbourg and imam Mustafic from Lubjana.

The EULEMA delegation participated also among the guests of the Community of Saint Egidio International Interreligious event in Rome the 27-28 of October on the theme to Dare Peace. We like to thank shaykh al-Azhar, the Grand imam Ahmed al-Tayyeb for his inspiring keynote speech. We were glad to meet again with guest of honour Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs imam Nasaruddin Umar, Cardinal Parolin, Holy See Secretary of State, Cardinal Pizzaballa from Jerusalem, Cardinal Aveline, president of the Bishops Conference in France, Rabbi Avichai Apel from Germany.
