Buddhism meets Islam: EULEMA Joins the European Buddhist Union in Brussels for VESAK

VESAK is the celebration of the birth, illumination and death of Gautama Buddha and it is celebrated this month of May during the full moon. EULEMA was honoured to partner with the European Buddhist Union (EBU) in a side event of the EBU General Assembly in the Municipality of Brussels, organizing together the international roundtable “Buddhism meets Islam” at the Hôtel de Ville de Saint-Gilles on Saturday, May 9th, 2026.
The roundtable brought together senior Buddhist and Muslim leaders from across Europe:

EULEMA wishes the Buddhist masters and disciples and our Buddhist brothers and sisters in Europe the blessing of spiritual enlightenment from human suffering.
