Antonio De Diego Gonzales

Antonio Sulayman de Diego González is Imam and Vice President of Junta Islámica (Spain). He received a MA in Contemporary History (2015) and a PhD (2016) on the history and doctrines of Islam in West Africa both at Universidad de Sevilla. Converted to Islam in 2012, he complemented his academic studies with Islamic studies in Senegal and Mauritania under the supervision of traditional scholars. He serves also as Assistant Professor of Islamic Philosophy at the University of Seville. He is author of several publications about Islamic History and Philosophy like “Ley y Gnosis. Historia intelectual de la tariqa Tijaniyya” (Editorial Universidad de Granada, Granada, 2020) and “Populismo Islámico” (Almuzara, Córdoba, 2020).
